What a beautiful garden! My friend Marilyn gave me this info to your site. What a wonderful way to garden its a painting but with living plants. We get to enjoy looking at it but you get to enjoy eating it... Joanie

Paul: I'm glad you found my blog and that it's inspired you to revisit the Chicago Botanic Gardens! Say "hi" to Rick for me. Small World. Further proving the six degrees of separation theory (or maybe it's just two degrees in the horticultural industry), once upon a time (2004?) I worked for the Wisconsin Dept. of Ag as a Plant Pest & Disease Specialist and I remember inspecting your nursery one terribly hot and humid summer day.

Annie:

I just pickup up your blogsite from your sister's blog (Montana). You have GREAT photos and a great writing
ability. I love the humor.

GLAD to hear you enjoyed your trip to Chicago Botanic
Gardens and mentioned Richard Belden. Richard used to buy
landscape plants from me when he had his business in
Madison WI (prior to gowing to Chicago Botanic Gardens).
Since I have not toured their fruit display since Richard took
it over, your article reminded me to visit again.

Glad to hear you toured Olbrich Gardens! My favorite local
Botanic Gardens and it is FREE to tour! I sell plants to them
on occasion. They do a great job there.

Being an avid fruit grower (hobby) I would love to hear what
you are growing. Keep writing!

Cheryl - When the days start getting shorter, I might just have to put garden lighting on my husband's to-do list!

Conny - Right now it seems like the only thing that can momentarily suppress the swarms of mosquitos are tornados. They're awful... but they can't catch me on my bike!

Leslie - Thanks! I will post a blog about its full construction soon.
